Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Posted on August 11th, 2007 in Car Races by imolaf1

Hi i’m Franco and I live near Imola, so i decided to write about my favourite race track:) The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is a current self electric circuit close of Imola, 40 kilometers east the Bolognas and 80 kilometers eastern of the Italian city the Ferrari factory in Maranello.
The electric circuit is called after Ferraris late founder Enzo and its son Dino, which had died in the fifties. Before Enzo Ferrari death 1988 it was called „Autodromo Dino Ferrari “.
It was the scene for the formula San Marino Grand Prix (for many years, two, the Grand Prix in Italy each year were held, therefore running, which was held with Imola, after that close convenient condition mentioned) and he regaled also the edition 1980 of the Italian Grand Prix, which normally takes place in Monza. If formula one visits Imola, it is seen as „the Hauptstromkreis “of Ferrari and masses of tifosi (Ferrari advocate) to come out to support the local crew.
Imola, since it admits verbally, is one of the minority of the non-oval electric circuits, which go into one to left direction. (Istanbul, electric circuit run and Autódromo the José Carlo walk with interLagos, Brazil are other one after left electric circuit, those recently from Formula one are used)
Established in the fifties, Imola with the drivers was popular because of its fast, liquid plan. 1973 and 1974 two chicanes were added, in order to slow the cars down. A third chicane was added 1981.

This is our nations glory The Imola Circuit:)
